From the Inside Out: Dealing with TB-related self-stigma and shame
“From the Inside Out” is a training toolkit designed to help people identify, understand, and address self-stigma and anticipated stigma. We provide a framework and tools to reduce self-stigma in people with tuberculosis (TB). In order to explore self-stigma and examine its impact people must reach solutions. In particular, the package aims to challenge and overcome self-stigmatizing beliefs to improve well-being and ensure affected people can lead productive lives that are free of self-judgment. It is intended for use by NGOs, National TB Programmes and TB Support Groups. So far the toolkit has been delivered and evaluated in Kazakstan, Indonesia and The Philippines, and soon Vietnam. Download the toolkit here and the accompanying handouts here. If you would like to receive a Master Training please contact us.
